Story

All done!!

Absolutely loved and although it was bloody hard, it was well worth it and I'll be there again next year for sure.

I did it in 00:57:04 and was 159 overall, not too far off the winner but thats without a great deal of running so next year, i'll be up there!!

Thanks to everyone who has sponsored me so far, I really appreciate it and its gone to a fantastic cause and the money will be used very wisely and will make a difference.  The run was and is just a side to helping out a truely worthwhile charity.

Cheers again guys and good work!

Jon

What is the ‘Survival of the Fittest’?

10km, 10 obstacles and a whole world of pain.

Packing a challenging 10km route in each host city (I'm doing the Edinburgh one!), with tough and engaging obstacles every kilometre, you will pit your wits against fellow "Survival" competitors in a test of stamina, grit, speed and guts. Possibly the UK's toughest obstacle course? Maybe. Possibly the UK's most action-packed 10k. Maybe. The must-do events of this year? Definitely.  Obstacles include..... Army assault course, 3m wall, assent of Jacobs Ladder, swim through the depths of 'Nor Loch'.... Lets see... thats four.... another six await!...

Because why?

Hmmmm… all in the name of sport and a good cause to boot….. Why Not!!??

Why NECCR?

The NECCR is a registered charity which was founded by parents to raise money for research into childhood cancer. Much of the research is carried out at the Sir James Spence Institute and the Northern Institute for Cancer Research in Newcastle.
